Alexander Joyce
CEO and PRESIDENT
As a Financial Professional, Author, and host of the Retirement Halftime Show, Alexander Joyce brings a wide variety of knowledge to the table. He studied Financial Analytics at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania — the business school of the University of Pennsylvania, a private Ivy League research university.
He is a Certified Estate Planner (CEP), ensuring his client’s directives are clear by providing them with personalized long-term plans for their money and assets. He is designated as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) which gives him the expertise in helping clients prepare for retirement. Alexander is a Safe Money and Retirement Income Planning Specialist and holds the NSSA (National Social Security Advisor) designation. As such, he advises clients regarding income planning, asset protection, and helps them work through the intricacies of Social Security to obtain the best benefits.
And as President and CEO of ReJoyce Financial LLC, a retirement planning firm based in Carmel, Indiana, he channels that knowledge into one coherent goal: helping clients work toward their retirement dreams.

Meet Your Advisors

Michele comes to ReJoyce Financial as the Director of Sales with over 25 years in Sales and Operations. Her career began as an Assistant Director of Admission for her alma mater, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science. She moved to Indianapolis in 2001 for a career in sales and executive recruitment. Outside of work, some of Michele’s professional affiliations include the Career Development Competition at the National FFA Convention; Speaker at Passport to Employment; Past Vice President for UNEC (United North East Community Development Corp.); Founding member of Rainmakers Networking Group (est. 2003); Board member for the Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration. Michele’s love for community and volunteerism pales in comparison to her passion for college football (Notre Dame, of course), politics, black cats, and Diet Coke.
Michele lives in Lawrence Township with her family and five black cats.

Joel is an Investment Advisor Representative with ReJoyce. He has a series 65 license and has been in the financial field since 2018.
Born and Raised in rural Saint Albans, Vermont, he went out to attend Anderson University for his freshman year of college where he played football and was able to experience a new world. After his freshman year of college Joel moved back to Vermont to finish his Undergraduate from Saint Michael’s College. After a few years Joel’s heart kept calling him back to the Heartland. In early 2022 he decided to follow his heart and move back.
Joel’s passions include football, volunteering, and spending time with his friends.

Originally from Indiana, Josh Cooksey first began working in the financial industry in 2011 as an independent insurance producer. He built a book of business by providing clients assistance with Life Insurance, Annuities, Medicare, LTC, and Health insurance products. While doing this he also learned valuable skills in assembling and managing a team of agents under him until 2015 when he decided to acquire his series 65 and practice as a financial advisor. He joined with Foundations Investment Advisors in 2016 as an operations specialist in addition to meeting with clients. In 2017 he put his degree in software design to use and developed a program to help financial firms with processing documents.
Josh currently heads the operations of Foundations and works to provide advisors and their staff top level service through design and implementation of improvements toward the infrastructure of the firm. He currently resides in Chandler, Arizona with his wife, Tracy, and three children. When not at the office he enjoys technology, golf, basketball and weightlifting.

Jennifer Payne wants to know about you and your financial needs. Jennifer assists the ReJoyce Financial investment team in catering thoroughly to your retirement planning journey. Jennifer has extensive experience in commercial lending — working exclusively with small business owners throughout Indiana to accomplish their corporate and personal financial objectives. She also has a background in bank regulatory supervision as a bank examiner with FDIC throughout Indiana and Illinois. Jennifer has a BS in Finance from Indiana University, with an MBA from Butler University. Jennifer loves to visit her son on the West Coast, but being family-oriented, she is fortunate that her daughter and grandson live in Indiana.

Stephanie Roper began her career in the financial services industry in 2008 and she came to Foundations Investment Advisors with more than 10 years experience in operational management. Prior to joining FIA, Stephanie provided HR, compliance and operational support for two other SEC registered investment advisers, which she helped grow to over $100 million in five years. In 2012, Stephanie obtained her B.S. in Business with a concentration in Finance.
Stephanie is an integral part of the Foundations Investment Advisors team; she supervises, administers and manages the firm’s day-to-day activities. In addition, she cultivates strong relationships with advisers and business partners to create leading-edge technology solutions. Stephanie’s overall goal is to provide the highest-level of service to advisers and clients by fostering operational excellence. Stephanie resides in the Gilbert/Phoenix area with her husband and two children. She enjoys going to Broadway musicals with her son who is very active in community theatre.

Ismail Covington is an experienced professional in the realm of Finance & Insurance, boasting an impressive 12-year tenure in the field. His expertise has been instrumental in assisting numerous small businesses in Indianapolis, providing them with the guidance and support needed for growth and success. Beyond his professional achievements, Ismail possesses an adventurous spirit that draws him to explore the world. He nurtures his wanderlust by embarking on journeys to enchanting beach destinations, where he finds tranquility and inspiration. John handles tax planning and compliance for the firm. He has a diverse background in accounting, tax, real estate, and financial planning. He earned his MBA in finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and his law degree from the IU McKinney School of Law. He is a licensed CPA and member of the Indiana state bar. He grew up in Virginia but has lived in Indiana for the last 25 years. He enjoys boating, golf, and bicycling on the Monon Trail.

Meet Your Mortgage Advisor

Tim Ayers has been in the mortgage industry as a banker, broker, or lender for thirty years. Tim got his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Denver Seminary and carried his passion for listening and helping people into the mortgage lending industry.
Tim decided to move to Grandview Lending after encountering market changes which led him to search for a company with honesty, integrity, and sincerity. He found that and more with Grandview Lending. Residential mortgage lending is Tim’s passion, well, that and making loans work where other Banks fail to help the borrowers refinance, purchase, or even work on a reverse mortgage. Tim is well versed in the industry.
Tim is a published author of the fictional book, “Fooled Me Once”, a spy espionage thriller. In his spare time he enjoys road cycling.

Attorney-Consultant for more than 20 years, Alan brings to ReJoyce Financial his highly diversified experience in both legal and financial advisory roles. Alan’s primary areas of expertise include trusts and estate planning & administration, tax, retirement, wealth transfer and protection, familial & charitable planning. A precise thinker able to proactively identify & analyze issues, Alan both prides himself upon, and enjoys, breaking down complex matters into understandable explanations for others, quickly building trust and confidence upon which both colleagues and clients can readily rely in selecting their best course of action.
Alan is proud to have been born and raised in New York, and grateful for the eight subsequent years he resided in beautiful Northern California. Now an adopted Indiana Hoosier, Alan is happy to call the Midwest his home. Alan received his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of New York at Albany, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with a double concentration in Finance and Management Information Systems, and earned his Law Degree at the University of California, Davis – King Hall. He is admitted into the State Bars of Indiana and California

Jayson R. Gilbert is the founder and lead attorney at Gilbert Legal Services LLC.
He practices primarily in the areas of trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianships, and Medicaid planning and applications. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Indiana and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Jayson is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, probate trust and real property, and the elder law sections.
Jayson received his bachelor’s in organizational leadership from the University of Indianapolis. He received his JD from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Throughout undergraduate and law school he worked as a paralegal for attorney Lawrence D. Frutkin. After graduating from law school, Jayson founded Gilbert Legal Services to help clients find the peace of mind they deserve. By making your biggest problem his top priority, Jayson takes the weight off of your shoulders.
When he isn’t solving legal problems, Jayson coaches girls softball and rides his Jeep in the woods.

Gavin is a licensed attorney at Gilbert Legal Services and has worked at GLS since he started law school. Gavin obtained his undergraduate degree in Movement and Sports Science at Purdue University and completed his JD at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Gavin practices primarily in the areas of trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianships, and real property transactions. As an attorney, Gavin is in the business of solving problems. To do his job best, he takes the issue that is causing you the most worry and anxiety and he makes finding the solution his responsibility.
When he isn’t solving legal problems, you may find Gavin playing with his daughter, hunting in the woods or playing basketball with his friends.
Meet Administration

Born and raised in Indianapolis with over 20 years of experience in sales, operations, and management. Christeen started working for a family marketing company at age 12 and was in a leadership role by age 18. She is a licensed insurance agent, mortgage loan advisor, and notary.
She is a mother of 3 (soon to be 4) and she has 2 cats & 2 dogs. She spends most of her time at her children’s sporting events. Her favorite past times are going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and exploring new activities with herfamily.

Angie is our licensed Medicare agent and she brings an extensive background to our team. Most recently, she provided legal support to multiple partners at a midsize law firm in downtown Indianapolis. Her financial background includes working at Chase Bank and as a Paid Tax Preparer, in addition to multiple accounting functions at a variety of companies.
Angie’s varied background allows her to bring critical contributions into the firm which will allow for increases in proficiency to our services and our clients.
In her free time, Angie loves crafting and to camp and travel with her husband and 2 daughters. Most weekends you can find them at one of our beautiful state parks!

Carey Smithers is one of the diligent team members who will make sure your accounts get set up and funded properly. Carey joined the ReJoyce Financial team in June 2023 and is helping our clients live out their retirement dreams. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her two dogs — Olive and Pepper — especially appreciate when Carey takes them on long hikes at parks throughout Indiana. When she’s not working or hiking, you can find Carey at the pool, listening to music, and dabbling in crafts. Her passion involves making the world a better place for all animals.

Anesia is one of the smiling faces you see when you visit us. Her biggest achievement is that every day is an achievement. Her goals and aspirations are to always remain herself, to become her own boss, and to live life to the fullest. She is a multifaceted being with an entrepreneurial spirit. She loves to learn new things and calls herself a serial learner.
Her ultimate life goal led her into finance — Building Generational Wealth.

Maged is a quick responder that goes above and beyond to ensure ReJoyce Financial exceeds your expectations. His attention to detail, avid thinking, and customer service skills are a great asset to the administration team. Maged aspires to continually expand his knowledge in the financial industry. His goal is to use the knowledge to nurture his leadership skills — enabling him to help others more intuitively. Maged loves traveling to new places and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys listening to music and creating music with the percussion sounds of the cajon native to Peru.

Ernest J. C’DeBaca (Ernie) oversees governance and compliance matters for the firm. Ernie received his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and an MBA in finance from Webster University. From the University of New Mexico School of Law, he earned his Juris Doctor degree, and from Georgetown University Law Center he earned his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in securities. He began his legal career focusing on tax law and estate planning and has served as an attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Away from the office, he is actively involved with several local non-profit organizations, including the church he attends with his wife and three children, and his homeowners’ association. Whenever possible, he remains optimistic about trying to improve his golf game.
Meet Marketing

Steven Hadt is an Emmy award-winning television producer. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Journalism, Steve produced newscasts in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. He left the television industry for a role at an international legacy nonprofit. He joined the team at ReJoyce Financial in January 2023 to help clients improve their financial literacy and make their financial dreams come true.
A native of Schererville, Indiana, Steve live in Westfield and can be found serving the community in various ways. His dream for retirement involves living on a cruise ship while traveling the world.

Zeke Bautista is a Creative Designer whose skills and experience include brand design, visual identity, logo, UI/UX, print, and motion graphics. He served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 6 years and graduated from Ball State University.
As a creative designer, Zeke helps communicate effectively with our audience through visual aids. His role at ReJoyce Financial includes the daily turnover of graphic elements and market tangibles.
Zeke enjoys spending time with loved ones and dedicates his time training to compete in CrossFit. He also enjoys serving at his church, playing music, hiking, watching movies, and learning more about art and design.

Tim Riethmiller is a nationally awarded visual Journalist turn Marketing Specialist. After graduating from Taylor University with a Journalism degree, Tim went on to be the art director of several newspapers and magazines. He was also a Team Photographer for the Kansas City Chiefs and regularly photographed for the Royals as well as the Professional Bull Riders circuit. Tim was also on the design team for USA Today Network where he led the design of multiple Pulitzer Prize-winning Newspapers. His passion was then directed towards multimedia marketing where he specializes in digital platform marketing and social media.
When not working Tim spends his weekends at the lake in northern Indiana with his wife and two daughters. He is a wine collector as well as a mixed-medium artist.

Frank is an award-winning, Emmy-nominated photojournalist who left the news world after working in it for almost 12 years to join the ReJoyce team in April 2023. He first got his start in working at ABC 57 news in South Bend, IN as a video editor and news photographer. During his time in news, he covered big stories such as the Indy 500, FedEx Mass Shooting, and the Delphi Murders. On the plus side of telling stories it helped him gain lifelong friends, new skills, and help put a smile on people’s faces whether it is a feel-good story or telling their story to help them get the results and help they needed.
Originally, born in St. Louis, MO, but was raised in South Bend, Frank moved to Indianapolis, in late 2016 to start working at WRTV and then WTHR two years later. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Indiana University South Bend.
In his spare time, Frank likes to binge-watch shows, tell dad jokes, nap, go on hikes (depending on the weather), take road trips, eat tacos and play video games. He’s also active in the Stonewall Sports Indianapolis league playing: dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, and soon-to-be softball.

When I am not working one of my two jobs, I enjoy riding horses and playing with my pets. I also enjoy going camping with my family and doing anything that involves being in the great outdoors.
I also enjoy helping others and giving back to the people who helped shape who I am today. I live more in the present and live life to the fullest and do not dwell on where I see myself in twenty years. I strive to make every environment I am in a free-spirited and welcoming space.

Ryan is a Creative Designer with over 6 years of experience in Video Production, Graphic Design, and Animation, as well as Web & Mobile App Development. He recently led a small business alongside its owner, where Ryan implemented new technologies and systems to bring unique interactive digital products to their clients.
Ryan’s educational background began in Computer Science at Purdue University, then ended with a degree in Computer Graphics Technology from IUPUI. His focus of study was both computer programming and also 3D modeling, animation, and film.
Originally from Madison, WI, Ryan also lived for a few years in Memphis before Indianapolis became is home in 2007. His interests include Music, Movies, and Computer Technology, as well as spending time with his family at their hunting property in Southwest Wisconsin.

Will has been working in the radio and television industry for seven years now. Originally from Evansville, Indiana, he first got interested in his field while attending the University of Southern Indiana. During his time there, he gained experience as a disc jockey, videographer, photographer, and audio production, going on to win multiple state and national awards for his audio work. His first professional job was working as a production assistant for Eyewitness News in Evansville. He continued his career in radio and television when he made the move up to Indianapolis with his wife, Bridget. Here he worked as a traffic coordinator for Fox 59 and CBS 4 before joining the team at ReJoyce Financial.
During his free time, Will is an avid comic book collector and outdoor adventurer. He loves going on hikes with his wife and dog and spending summers at the lake. Also, as a frequent filmgoer, Will writes a monthly film review column for the Hendricks County newspaper.
